The stores and shops are already filling up with people waiting in line for Santa and finding Christmas presents to put under the tree. But there’s always something that we forget when we're in a rush. In an effort to help you stay on top of the holiday season this year, we have created this list to help you make sure you have everything thing you need before December 24th! That way, you can put your feet up on Christmas Eve, drink some eggnog in your ugly sweater, and enjoy the time with your loved ones a little bit more!
Day 1: Tree- The most important piece you need to bring that homey holiday feeling to your humble abode! There is nothing like gathering the family and decorating the tree with ornaments you’ve collected from over the years. It’s a great way to start off the season as well as a way to make some awesome family memories.
Day 2: Presents & Gifts – The time is almost here! Do you have everything checked off your list? It’s best to get it done sooner than later, when the stores get even crazier! So take that extra hour after work and make the trip to the mall with your list and get everything you need. Or, if you’re an introvert, you can enjoy the comforts of shopping online from your home in your pajamas. Don’t wait too long, or you will have to venture out into the world to get those last minute gifts, because not everything can be bought via Amazon Prime!
Day 3: Decorations – Decorating the house tops off the holiday season! You can’t forget the classic decorations like lights, garlands, and cutouts. They can really help put the festive spirit in the air! You can even get some stockings to hang by your fireplace for Santa to fill on Christmas Eve!
Day 4: Holiday Cards- Better address those holiday cards and out mail them soon! Send warmth and love (and maybe a family photo) to your friends and family who might be miles away this year. There’s nothing like receiving a card in the mail and knowing that you're in someone's thoughts.
Day 5: Holiday Crafts- There are never enough fun crafts to fill these December nights! But we found two fun ones that are great for the whole family! And you can even find the supplies in our store or online! Not only will they be fun decorations to use in the years to come, but you'll be able to make special memories in the process!
*The first craft is Christmas Tree Mason Jars, (we can help supply you with the paint, jars, and candles in store!)
Day 6: Gift Wrap and Packaging- Whether your preference is gift bags or wrapping paper, we can help you with either one! We have a wide selection of all types of packaging that can be used from small gifts to big ones, as well as tins for cookies and treats! Here are a few of our fun seasonal bags and paper below!
Day 7: Tableware- You’ll want to have some fun seasonal tableware for your holiday guests. Plus paper plates and napkins make for such easy cleanup! Here are just a few examples of the plates and table covers you can decorate with this holiday!
Day 8: Foods and Ingredients- Making sure your menu is planned in advance will be a massive help during the holiday season. You can check with your friends and family who will be joining you so you can plan the right amount. Get to the store before you're having to make any last minute trips to the busy grocery stores!
Day 9: Pans and serving platters- All that delicious food needs serving platters and foil trays! We have holiday ones like our Festive Greenery Platter, or if you like a more classic look, check out our plain servingware like clear, black, or white trays.
Day 10: Drinks and Beverages- This is another time saver for you, if you can plan ahead and get to the grocery or liquor stores in advance to stock up! Plus you don't want to run the risk of stores running out of eggnog! And we can provide a wide range of drinkware and accessories from holiday themed paper cups, to plastic wine and champagne glasses!
Day 11: Wrap the Presents – If you haven’t already, now is the time to get those gifts wrapped up and placed gently under the tree. Don't forget that we have ribbons, bows, and tissue paper in colors that match all of your gift packaging.
Day 12: Bake the Goods- Get all those delicious deserts and treats prepped and prepared! Thaw your turkey or ham, make your gingerbread houses, chop up your fruits and veggies, and get everything prepared to cook!
If you follow this list, you'll be sure to stay on top of your holiday game! You will have ample time to relax and enjoy this special time of year with your friends and family. Make memories that will last the rest of your life, instead of running around last minute wishing you were home with the kids. And from all of us at Litin's Party Value, we wish you a wonderful Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Holiday Season, and a spectacular New Year!
